Job detailsSous Chef required for a 4* Hotel located in Merseyside. Salary from £26,000, please note this is a live out position.
A well established conference hotel are looking for a hard working Sous Chef to join their kitchen brigade to provide support to the team.
The hotel has 10 conference rooms, banqueting for up to 250 and a 100 cover restaurant. You will be working in a team of 7.
- Assist the Head Chef in leading a brigade in all aspects of running the kitchen.
- Overseeing the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
- Alongside the Head Chef leading the delivery and production of food, including the daily menus for restaurant lunches, dinners, conferences and private events.
- Training and managing the junior chefs.
- Stock control, stock rotation and stock ordering.
- To drive and adhere to all Food Safety and Food Hygiene policies.
What we need from you
- You will be able to confidently support the Head Chef and take control of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Previous experience working in corporate focused hotels.
- We are looking for someone with a steady career history and a competent all-rounder, able to cover all sections.
- Produce excellent GP's.
- Ability to work unsupervised and have strong management skills.
- Highly motivated and focused.
- Adhere to strict health and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Up to date with allergens and dietary requirements.
