Sales and Marketing Manager required for a Conference Centre in Lancashire. Generous package dependent on experience. Live out. No Evenings.
Our client is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager, must be from catering background. The establishment has large conference and banqueting facilities. You will be in charge of the selling, booking and planning of events, weddings, conferences.
Your shifts will be 9-5pm or 8-4pm, Monday to Friday.
Duties of the job:
Deal with bookings by phone, email and face-to-face.
Generating new and old business, approaching potential clients.
Liaise with clients in rate negotiations, identify objectives, target audience
and measurement for the event or conference.
Plan, organise and manage all aspects of the event from
planning, promotion, and logistics.
Provide and agree menus, written plans and costings.
On the day management, follow up and budgeting.
Prepare bills and take payments.
Advertise the centres facilities and services.
Deal with any queries or complaints from guests.
What we need from you:
To be computer literate.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ideally come from reception, reservations or front of house role.
Experienced using Front of House booking systems.
An understanding of the capability and costings for the kitchen department.
A high standard of personal presentation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A good telephone manner.
Organised with social media platforms.
The ability to be calm and well organised, even when working under pressure.
