Head Cook required for a School located in County Durham. Salary £20,000. Monday - Friday and evenings off.
You will be cooking for a large number of students and staff whilst using mainly all fresh local produce. Overseeing a team of around 10.
You will be working 37 hours per week Monday - Friday. Shifts are 7-3pm Monday to Thursday and 7 - 2.30pm Fridays with 30 minutes for lunch.
You must be able to drive and need to be DBS checked.
Duties of the job:
Running the daily kitchen operations, including opening up and closing down.
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
You will be in charge of preparing and serving a simple menu.
Ordering, stock rotation and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
Compliance with food hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.

Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
